A Rajasthan Adventure: Our December 2023 Family Trip

Day 1: Jaipur - A Royal Start (10th December)

We embarked on our Rajasthan adventure on the 10th of December, setting off from Gurgaon at 4 AM. A long drive later, we reached the Pink City of Jaipur around 8:30 AM. Our first stop was the enchanting Jal Mahal, floating serenely on the Man Sagar Lake. We then ventured to the majestic Nahargarh Fort, offering panoramic views of the city. A visit to the iconic Amber Fort and its bustling Meena Bazaar rounded off our day. Exhausted but exhilarated, we checked into our hotel in the evening and explored the local market before calling it a day.

Day 2: Udaipur - The City of Lakes (11th December)

Before leaving for Udaipur, we visited the stunning Hawa Mahal in the morning. This iconic palace, known for its intricate facade and unique architecture, provided a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Jaipur. We then set off for Udaipur around 11 AM, reaching the City of Lakes around 7 PM. After checking into our hotel, we rested for the next day's adventures.

Day 3: Udaipur - A Cultural Immersion (12th December)

We started our third day in Udaipur with a visit to the Jagdish Temple, a beautiful Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Next, we explored the magnificent City Palace, a sprawling complex of palaces and courtyards. In the afternoon, we visited the serene Shaheliyon ki Bari, a garden built by the queens of Udaipur. Our day ended with a relaxing evening at the picturesque Fateh Sagar Lake. We concluded our day with a delicious dinner of Dosa at Mr. Narayan Fast Food.

Day 4: Pushkar - A Spiritual Sojourn (13th December)

On the 13th, we left Udaipur at around 4:30AM for Pushkar, reaching around 8:30 AM. We visited the renowned Brahma Temple(Pushkar is often described in the scriptures as the only Brahma temple in the world). After offering our prayers, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast of Dal Kachori and Tea. With our spiritual journey complete, we set off for Gurgaon around 10:30 AM. We stopped for a delicious Dal-Bati-Churma lunch at a roadside Dhaba on the highway. Finally, we arrived back in Gurgaon around 7 PM, bringing our Rajasthan adventure to a close.

Our trip to Rajasthan was a truly unforgettable experience. From the majestic forts and palaces to the serene lakes and vibrant markets, Rajasthan has something to offer everyone. We were captivated by the rich history, culture, and natural beauty of this incredible state.
